painted your own rims???

painted your own rims???

hey i was wondering if any of you painted your stock rims cause i'm thinking of doing this and if you did how did it turn out?and if you have pics could you post them

if u decide to do it you will want to either bake them or powder coat. most your paints will either chip or corrode from brake dust and water/other elements on the road.

i bought after market rims that are black i've had them a lil over a year and the gloss has come off looks ugly.they look like a plastic chair that has been in the sun too long and the shiny part is chipping away

...and polishing mine as well. Almost done. Thx for the tips Stealth.

As for painting, powdercoat is the only way to go for longevity. Also, there are many Wheel Sealants available to protect your rims. Remember, it's paint just like your car so they need extra protection. I prefer Poor Boys Wheel Sealant myself. Goes on like butta.
