I understand that this design choice youve made makes you satisfied and you feel creative. Another thing you might want to consider is what kind of statement you make about yourself by your vehicle. If youre looking for solid opinions on design choices, take a design course at your local community college...hopefully they offer one.
what I can tell you is this. generally, a design that is pleasing for the human eye contains three colors. two main tones that compliment each other, and a third that acts as a minimal accent. If you want great ideas on color and design choices, go to zappos.com and look at high end women's stilletos, color and material combinations will be the most up to date.

Here's an idea...
Lurk the media/photography forums for a lil' bit...heck, go check out a couple of photoshoot threads with some of the more modified 8's...personally, i think getting to know what you can do to the car might give you some ideas as to where you really wanna go...
personally...after watching so many people go in so many directions with their car i've become thankful that i took my time in making the decisions i've made so far.
If i were you...i'd start off with the basics like lowering, getting rims n' maybe some appearance mods before going all out with paint n' "attention getters". a stock car with over-the-top exterior mods look like shat n' presents a very "immature" state of mind.
my $.02
btw, please don't murder out(all black) your car...****'s old
