Talking Officially introducing my Yellow 8.

I was trying to wait to finish the engine bay and add some subs in the back before posting, but my first pic showed up on the Raging Mazda thread.
Guess that's what I get for procrastinating.
As long as it's out, here's some more pics of it.

This is the link to all the pics so far.
Sorry it's not the best quality, I used a video camera, then captured the pictures on my pc.

Looks great! How did you do that "rx8" logo on the caliper? Is it just decal?

Love The Yellow. Looking good. Are the yellow calipers hard to keep clean? I cant decide on a good color for calibers on my Yellow. Black,Red,Grey? or Yellow.

Thanks for the great responses.

To answer your questions, the calipers are painted.

First I did a black stripe (about 1”x3.5”).
Then I placed Polak’s Decals on them. (Decals here: http://www.polakgraphics.com/index2....erinstall.html )
Then I painted over the whole thing with yellow.
Then I peeled off the decals.

As far as keeping them clean, it’s definitely more work, especially on the fronts, but the looks/compliments make up for it.

Nice, really like what you do with the engine bay. If you have one of those carbon covers that will be icing on the cake... Like that rotory valve caps also, nice touch.

Here's some newer pics of the wheels.
Powdercoated rims Glossy Black (Worco Powdercoating, Long Beach, CA)
Powdercoated calipers Yellow (Worco Powdercoating, Long Beach, CA)
Drilled/Slotted rotors - eBay (R1Concepts.com)

I had the rims powdercoated black last year, and I a month ago I had the calipers powder coated and bought drilled/slotted rotors.

The calipers were impossible to keep clean on the front wheels.
I know others who painted their's with the same paint, and have no problems keeping them clean, but I couldn't do it.

Now the powdercoated calipers wipe 100% clean with a dry cloth.

I purchased an ACT Prolite flywheel, and Unorthodox pulleys, but there won't be a picture of those installed.
My next purchase will probably be new springs, and then RB swaybars and RB exhaust.

nice cesar . but you lost the rx-8 decal on the calipers now though . that was really pretty!

@ detrich: the new set of pix are the ones w/the black powdercoated rims. the ones w/the front plate are over a year old

@ Everyone -
Thanks for all the feedback.

@ Dro -
Wheels powdercoated $260 for all 4.
Calipers powdercoated $290 for all 4.

@ Lesper -
I'm guessing the cost of the calipers is higher because they have more areas that needs to be protected from the powdercoating process, plus the prep work's more difficult.
With the wheels, they just give them an acid bath, sandblast, and powdercoat.

@ Detrich -
What xrider01 said.

@ xrider01
The decals will be added soon.

My next pics will be the Tein S-tech springs I ordered today.
