stupid question here, mind the ignorance. why the second, central mounted tach? not like the thing revs any higher than 6 grand right? also, any mods to the engine? nice and clean man...i was offered an 89 saleen once and it was a really tight car.

Tons of drag cars have this. You dont have to look down if you see that light in the corner of your eye.

I was having problems with my stock tach & I got it pretty much new for FREE. Plus it has the shift light so that I don't have to look down. Also my stang does rev past 6K. As far as mods go it is a 306 with every bolt on that is possibly, full exhasut, cam, intake, etc... & an S-Trim(supercharger) that is waiting to get installed.

I can not believe you Mustang lost to an 8.

But I hear those older models are pretty slow.

Goes to show you how much HP increase cars have gotten over the years.

 

It slays me to see what Ford considered an acceptable interior in the past.

What happened to the ford design team in those days ? The original mustangs through to the seventies were a thing of raw beauty . That thing is .... well I don't even want to say .

Nice 5.0, but too bad it wasn't a Coupe, those are my favorite Fox bodies.

 

She didn't get the 8 cuz the two we test drove were not that impressive. One was an auto & the other was an manual. I drove my buddy's 8 that was modded & it was really nice but compared to my stang on a STRAIGHT line it was no comparison. But it handled very well. I don't think I have driven anything besides my bike that handles that great!
