Got a pleasant surprise yesterday when my dealer called. My red 6spd sport arrived a week earlier than expected. Yes!!! Got to the dealer at 6:30pm, drove it home at 8:45pm. Yes!!! I'll post a write-up a little latter because I'm having too much fun now. But in the mean time, here's are some pics of mine. Finally, the pics are of my car and not someone else.

Gorgeous pictures... that black one could have been mine but my dealer didn't wash or wax it (per my instructions) and it was raining the same day so.... it looked like crap when I got it

I wish mine wasn't still a figment of my imagination. I took down the pictures of the car in my office becasue I'm tired of everybody asking me if I got my car yet. I know it will be here soon, but having people asking me about it is torture.

I hear you man. The whereabouts of my RX-8 became a running joke here at work too. I setup a small area and displayed all the trinkets that Mazda sent. That suggestive looking thermos got quite a few chuckles.

Hang in there buddy. All your current anxieties will dissappear when your 8 arrived.

 

Finally we get to see how the rear light LEDs work at night. Very nice.

And right when I couldn't stand it any longer my dealer called. My car is here and I'm picking it up first thing in the morning tomorrow. I already called in sick!

Hey congrats! You must be the other person picking up their car today -- I called the dealership yesterday and they told me two people are picking up their cars today (I'm one of them -- finally!!). You'll be getting your car sooner though, 'cause I can't take off work until this afternoon. Aaah! I should've just taken the whole day off too! Like I'm really going to be able to concentrate on working this morning! :p

 

i'm hoping that if i post in this thread complaining that mine is also lost somewhere that my dealer will call me today and tell me my car is here...
