So about 2 months ago I bought my first RX8. From the first test drive I was in love. It was a Winning Blue 2005 A/T RX8. Such an amazing car.

About 2 months later I was getting the Subs installed that I purchased from Cannaryrx8. Fit perfectly in the trunk. The install place was going to take all day so a friend and myself decided to go around to some dealerships and check out some cars for fun.

We ended up at the Mazda dealership and were walking around back and saw a Black Cherry Mica 2005 RX8 Shinka edition M/T sitting back there. I fell in love instantly. Went for a test drive and couldn't believe the difference between the A/T and the M/T. I always knew the basics, 4 port AT vs 6 port MT. About 30hp, etc...

The car just pulls so much harder, and the suspension on the Shinka is so much better than the standard RX8. Well, long story short I got some pics of my 2 cars sitting next to eachother, =)

The only camera I own is my phone, so sorry if the pics arn't quite up to par.

I'm not sure what the previous owner of the Shinka did to the car, but it had a Greddy Exhaust and Clear corners on it. It's music to my ears.

Oh and P.S. If any of you see REX21 rolling around, feel free to wave or stop me. Always looking for other 8 owners to hang with, =)

 

Very nice Shinka! Black Cherry is probably my favorite color, looks so nice in certain lighting.

 

I wish I had two 8s.

I didn't know that the Shinka was that different, pretty cool.

 

Traded the blue one in, would love to have kept it, but not quite that rich, =)

 

So what happened to the subwoofers?

 

They're in the new car. I called up the install place right as they were finishing and had them pull everything out and put them in the new car. Dealership payed for the transfer too!

Oh, and what color should I paint the brake calipers? Just looking for some opinions, thanks!

 

I always think they should be the same color as the car, or red.

 

i beg to differ. on the shinx just paint em black. the worst you could do is purple......................................... LOL

 

^ he did say "Black Cherry Mica" so black would work, I would never recommend purple. nasty.
