A buddy loaned me his digital camera, which made for a fun evening of picture taking.

I managed to be out having too much fun driving at the right moment to get sunset pictures against the silver paint, so I'll try that again tomorrow.

Red thing comes off in a week or so when the real plates get in...

Ya know, I think I am more convinced than ever that Silver is the color for me. I think it shows the lines of the 8 better than the other colors.

Your car has a nice clean look without a spoiler or body kit.

 

I looked at the appearance packages and such, and decided I really liked the clean look better.

I think I'm gonna add rotary accents and strakes...but that's really all I want.

Black is VERY hot here in Texas.....the black interior is bad enough.

I intentionally took the pics in lighting that showed off the lines.....I'm still up in the air on which color really does it the best in "average" lighting conditions.

 

I think Yellow looks the coolest. But I could never get a yellow car. I couldn't take the massive bashing I'd get from all of my friends for having a yellow car. Nice pics btw. I can never get enough of the interior pics.

 

I've had three black cars, that's enough for me, but I love the color. I do think that the lines in the 8 tend to "disappear" on the black ones.

Regarding Yellow, I have a Yellow Protege 5 wagon that's Yellow. I love it! Had to have that color for that car!

There is no chance that my RX-8 will be Yellow. I simply do not like the "kind" of Yellow that is on the 8 (it is different than what they use on the Protege 5) and don't think it looks very good on the 8 myself. Absolutely no offense intended to those of you who own Yellow 8's (I take a fair amount of bashing owning the Yellow Protege5)! It's all a matter of personal taste, as always!

Silver is a classic sports car color, and, like I said earlier, it really shows off the lines of the 8 well.

In fact, I was reading my Sept edition of Road & Track, and in their Long Term test column, one of the staff said:

That being said, I still have not completely ruled out Titanium Gray yet, either. Velocity Red is a distand third choice.

but black with the black and tan interior just rocks.

 

Eldorado Motors eh....another TX owner. The prices I saw for their 8's were the best around...almost drove up there to look.

 

The Velocity Red on the 8 has to be one of the nicest "reds" I've come across. I thought I was set on silver or titanium, but the red just grabbed me.

Granted, it's a common color for the 8 but it's still my favorite :D

(Plus the red/black combination on the leather seats makes it even sharper IMHO)

 

I saw a Velocity Red on the road today, looked very nice.

Believe it or not, the lens flare was an accident....it was so bright outside, I couldn't see the LCD screen worth crap.

My favorite is the one at night where the sky looks like day (you can tell it's night because the street lights are on, and you can actually see the gauge lights). I intentionally way overexposed it to get the 'sharpness' of the light on the console to the right.

 

Hot as in awesome, not too warm.
