ahaha, I was having the same dilemma but I'm convinced it will look damn good in dark blue

The only thing I'll miss is not having a dark blue insert but in the end it's probably better... black is easier to clean on the interior

Mazda is using trunk lid struts. Good stuff. Its more expensive, but it really improves the functionality of the trunk (no hinges to crush your groceries.)

Let me throw in some observations...

particuliarly from the Autobild pics. I'm surprised no one mentioned what looks like no HID's on the headlights. Not that it's a real big deal, but it does look like no HID's. Also, from the speedo pic., one of the indicater lights look's like a upshift light. I don't know if the FD's had this, but the one's in some of the other cars I've seen---VW for example---are annoying as hell. They tell you to shift at really low RPM's (for optimum gas mileage). It's really a waste of a light. Now, if it's a shift light for close to max RPM, then that's a different story :D

Talking

I was looking over the new pics and I came across the pic of the rear. I noticed that the place where the key goes is integrated in the right tail light, just thought it was kinda trick, and since no one pointed it out before, thought I'd pass it along. Don't know how to post a pic so I will just make my observation and go now :D

Heel & Toe Heaven!

Did anyone notice the pedals? They look like they're specifically set up for heel toe breaking! Super nice! It's starting to look like they really put a lot of attention into details like this with the car, I can't wait to test drive one!

First off...OH MY GOD!!!! I am absolutely beside myself, these pictures are so beautiful. One thing, though: we lost the rotor-shaped rear-fog light. The cutout is still there, but no light. Maybe our brothers in the UK will get to keep it, since it is required by MOT.

what is the difference between those 2 rotors in the pictures....one looks like the 13b style, and the other looks like the renesis style.....does any1 know what the difference is? or which rotor will be the rx-8, and who knows....maybe they are constructing another rotary for another...car....hint hint...wink wink

I noticed that the rotor on the Renesis has 3 oil control rings. They must really be trying to cut down on the oil consumption.

Those are the same rotors. The 'renesis' rotor is just a rotor cut in half width-wise. The rotors in the Renesis are externally identical, other than the aforementioned oil seals, to previous rotors from a 13B. Actually, from the top, the rotors from the 10A, 12A, 13B and 20B are identical. Mazda rotors only differ in width from one motor to the next.

that is the first pic of the trunk open that i have seen. I noticed that there are still some pics from the original RX8 concept (the first red one).
