Good job on picking up one. My first car was a 91 Chevy Blazer. It was a piece, but I loved it anyway. I got my 8 when I turned 20 and have been happily married to it for 3 years now. I was surprised how cheap full coverage from state farm was for the car, especially with a 20 yr old as the driver.
Be sure to listen to what the elders on here say. Don't street race, be a bigger man than those that try to tempt you. We'd be lying if we said none of us ever played with people before. Please don't be stupid and end up like some kids a few months back that ran the car off an overpass and died. *anyone have the link to that story* Take care and congrats again!

Got mine at 17. Just turned a year and one month of me having it and I have quite a few mods. If you wanna drive it fast, do it legally i.e. auto-xing. That's where the 8 really shines.

yeah im also a young driver. basic rule of thumb for this site, be polite to those giving help/opinions, if you have a question search first before you start a thread, dont be stupid and race people on the streets go to the track for a real racing experience, if you do race dont tell us about it, dont rice out your car(your current mod ideas are good, dont go neons on us) and most of all, enjoy your car, it is a safe, good looking, comfortable, great car.

Congrats on the new car. You 16 year olds are damn lucky. My first car was a 1981 Corolla which was previously my sister's car.

I wasn't even allowed to get my license until I was 18! '1986 Mazda B2000 pick up truck, manual transmission, power NOTHING.

What the hell ur all lucky bastard...here in Belgium (europe) were I live...pff when i was 16 the only thing i drived was a 50CC suzuki TS (2wheel cross look-alike) old used bike. here in belgium its only allowed to drive cars when u are 18. and if u drive a sportscar u will pay a lot of money for it...not to talk about the fuel here...so damn expensive pfff u americans are lucky people...and if u are only 16 and drive a car like this...well then u verry lucky person REALLY. hope u get a lot of fun with it. and if u drive fast...don't drink alcohol :p
