Congrats dude, I would have killed to have this car when I was 16. Be smart. Be safe. As Swoope said, do an HPDE or Autox - you will learn a ton, and realize what really good driving is about.
If I see a NoS sticker, or a fart can exhaust , Danger lights go off. Once you have done it, put the SCCA or NASA sticker up, and just smile when someone revs u.

yeah im also a young driver. basic rule of thumb for this site, be polite to those giving help/opinions, if you have a question search first before you start a thread, dont be stupid and race people on the streets go to the track for a real racing experience, if you do race dont tell us about it, dont rice out your car(your current mod ideas are good, dont go neons on us) and most of all, enjoy your car, it is a safe, good looking, comfortable, great car.

Congrats on the car! If you're 16 how long could you have waited?
Please drive it like you love it; don't hurt it, yourself or insurance rates in general...
Sorry. I was getting parental again...
Good luck with the car and the mods.

I never understood how any 16 year old could afford this type of car. I don't mean just buying it, because I'm sure your parents either significantly contributed or bought it for you. I'm talking about gas and maintenance costs. They really can add up.......
Regardless, congrats on the car. it's a sh!tload of fun.

I got mine when I was 16, still no accidents and tickets since I got my license *knock on wood*. This car is definitely an attraction with local cops so you'll be more of a target than just some toyota camry. Just don't do anything stupid and love the car. It's a great car, enjoy it and congrats!!!

Does jersey require front plates? if not, take that bracket off ASAP. If they do require front plates, take it off anyway. ug, I hate front plates on the 8. totally ruins the looks.
If you don't mind me asking, how did you get the car? I will never bash anyone for getting the car from their parents. I bought mine at 19 with my own sweat and blood money. As long as you treat the car right, I don't care how you got it. But I'm warning you, If I see a vanity plate or a magnetic sticker on the car, I will hunt you down.
To be fair, at 16 I got a honda civic from my uncle with 180k miles on it. I traded it in to get the 8. I had it full body kitted, system, underglow (LED w00t!), in dash touchscreen DVD, motor swap, etc. Personal taste is really subjective. Awesome to you may be rice to someone else. so, when you do a mod, do it right. This car doesn't deserve jerry-rigging.
