My RX-8 at car show this weekend (NO 56K)
I had my two and a half month old RX-8 at the car show this weekend. I got 2nd place in my division. I lost to the Porsche sitting next to me It was an 80-something model and he had it spotless. An 80-something model vs. a 2004 model in the same shape (not to mention the Porsche name?)... Oh well. The rest of the competition were modified Honda's and such... Anyways, here's the pics:

So many roads to ride...
What mods have you done??? I find it hard to believe you could win a car show for just showing up in a new car. IMO it shouldn't be that way...some effort or skill should be rewarded.

No mods - They just liked the car. I guess the 2002 Corvette shouldn't of won either...? It wasn't a "modded" car show. I had the car spotless - Fender wells and everything. Five coats of Zaino.

I had an '87 928 S4. A very cool car in that same color (Indischrot - India Red). I admire anyone that can have an 84 in that great of shape.
The 928 S4 has a 326 (I think) hp 302 hemi V8. Only mod I did was a rear muffler bypass. The car sounded superb and turned many heads, although mostly older guys who recoginized what it was. Some people would come up and ask if it was a new model because they are very rare.
Maintenance was rather expensive but properly taken care of the engine will last a very long time.
Had to get rid of it due to being laid off after 9/11. God I miss that car. I would take a 89-91 928 GT in a heartbeat if I could find one (only about 100 per year sold). 928 GT is probably one of the best GT's ever made.
Don't feel bad.. A tough car in that condition to beat IMO.
