I went to Mazda dealer coming home from vacation a few days ago, it was a small town dealership but I din't see any new rx-8's. They had a mazdaspeed3 though. Then I remembered reading something about how Mazda may discontinue to 8 because of low sales in the past year or so. Has Mazda stopped producing them or did this place just not have them?

One of my friend was buying a car in a Mazda dealership here in Vegas and didn't even see any rx8 around. My friend bought a Mazda CX-9. Mazda will stop production of the rx8 and this is the last year for it.

CX-9.. Is that the one with 3 rows of seats or something? I seen tons of CX-7's (I think is the name) when I was up in Florida. I really liked that design. But as for the 8, I figured that's why the lot didn't have one. I was hoping it was just because of the small town but **** happens I guess. There was only like what, 1k RX-8 sells last year/this year? Hard to believe. But that's just all the more reason to take good care of the 8 we have.

Sad to see the RX-8 is getting put on the shelf, but hopefully Mazda will continue w/the next generation rotary engine, the 16X (if that's still what they're calling it)
At least the new Mazda commercial has the RX-8 in it, it's the commercial that shows the entire fleet of Mazdas.
