I agree with needing the "RX-8" symbol being black as well. The car, as it looks in the pictures, is exactly how i got the car when purchased. I'll fix it soon.
Yes it is condensation in my passenger taillight.
As far as drain on my funds...dunno if it'll be any more than my previous car...I don't plan on doing anything to the RX-8 besides maintenance(love it stock). My previous vehicle(MR2 Turbo) was a big money pit as I did a lot of work to it before some jackass ran a stop sign and I t-boned him.

well i hope you take my advice and order a new gasket. don't listen to anyone that tells you to drill holes in your tail lights. you might as well do the driver's side too while you're at it since its gonna happen to it eventually too. here's a link to where you can buy them for a really good price. they are a little different from the ones it comes with.
another option is to have a dealer fix them if you are still under warranty they will do it for free.
