The amps and speakers were around a $1,000. Not pictured are also 2 more 6x9's in the rear deck as well as 2 1"tweeters and 5 1/4 in the front doors. All Planet Audio. The install was done for a premium price since we are all friends. It would cost the average joe around 600.00 with all the wires included.

Did you get an aftermarket HU? If so post up a pic, I wanted a new system but wondered how to change the HU.

Looks like a 10" sub, 2 6x9's, 2 amps, lots of MDF. i would guess on the order of 75lbs.

honestly though, who cares? not everyone is into autoxing and could care less about weight as long as its not going to really affect accleration. a total of 75 lbs will not do much of anything when driving on the road. just think about when you have a passenger, thats at least another 120 lbs and no one really thinks about that.

the box is only about 7 lbs. The 12" and 2 6x9's, plus the two amps I'd say around 50 to 60 total. But I couldn't care less. It's not like I'm going to the track and I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary in loss of acceleration in with the kids and the wife in the car. I mean it is Albany, GA it's not like I have the open road to stretch "Leyla's" legs.
