It's just as good as a clear coat as long as you take care of it. As long as you take care of it, i.e. clean and wax it, it will never turn yellow.
I'm hoping that if you take the time to put a CF hood on your car you also take the time to keep it clean and well maintained.
I will fix the description in the listing to say a clear gel coat, but it is still technically a clear coat. You will find that many other vendors also refer to the coating as a clear coat as it is just as effective and serves the same purpose.
My understanding of Seibon's reasoning behind using a clear gel coat vs a typical clear coat (paint) is that the gel is more transparent allowing the detailed texture of the fabric to show much clearer.

Hey WTB you saw my car at the last meet (im jeff). I got my hood from assaultech and honestly all i do is wash and wax the hood plenty and it will be fine and 3-4 years down the road when it may eventually yellow i will simply have it sanded and re-clear or painted to match. Just take care of it and it will be fine.

Silver, really good looking car. It looks like it needs just a little bit more black somewhere in the middle to carry the B&W theme throughout the car...
I don't think Side skirts are really the answer, but I can't really think of what else there is to do.
But yes, +1 on a very good looking car!

Sneak peak of custom roof spoiler currently in the process...
Estimated time of completion is about 2 weeks painted and installed.
(dont mind the condensation in the tail light... Its already been replaced)
