My new car: 04 RX8
Hey guys,
I've had my rx8 for about 4 months now but it did not feel right posting pics without some mod done to the car Since my first major mod is now complete i think it was time to give the car some photo time.
The Car:
Dog wanted some photo time too:
And my first mod/project, Custom: CarPC, fiberglass/carpeted amp rack, Fiberglass sub box, fiberglass dash face plate. I made the custom face plate because i did not like how many of the aftermarket face plates looked no curves or style to them(in my opinion).
Did not vacuum the trunk before i took the pics
Orange peel might redo it in the future near future:

To be honest ive lost track :/ overall i think it has taken me about 3 months to fabricate all the parts(faceplate, amp rack, and sub box). I guessing around 120-160 hours researching/building. Im not sure what that would cost you at a body shop/custom audio shop. I think its worth the time to learn how to do this stuff if you have the resources. Its fun, when its finished you feel great since you made it, and if anything breaks you most likely now know how to fix it
The car pc components including 2 screens since i busted the ribbon cable clip on the first lilliput, 2 touch screens more ribbon cable problems, some front component speakers(infinity perfects), the 4 channel amp, and other various wires/adapters/connectors put it around 900-1100 i think. You could cut it down to around 800-900 if you wait for really good deals. Also i have not sold the OEM parts which could help you recover some of the cost.
Some fab pics:
Sorry for the cellphone quality pics :/
