My New '04 VR

So, I've been looking around for Rx8's seriously, going to dealers and trying to find one that felt right, and still gave me a good bit of money to play around with on the side. Well, I'm not going to give you a long story, but I happened to drive up to the closest dealer to my house after they got five Rx8's in a trade ins in a single day. After seveal AT disappointments, I found this VR one. Took a few weeks to get it through the shop for it's inspection, and it came out and was officially put up for sale when I got my tax returns. Soo... I just couldn't let this one sit on the lot any longer, haha.

It's an '04, I bought with just under 37,000mi. And, I can honestly say I have no intentions of keeping it low mileage, haha. Heck, I'm already taking it to an autocross next weekend, in Hershy, PA, and I must say, I can't wait for then already. As many of you can relate, I just can't praise this car enough. Soo... Here's the few pics I've taken, short due to the cold weather and rain, but I'll get more, definitely next weekend.

And, after I went home to my friend's house from the dealer, it's a Mazda takeover!

Haha, you're actually the first one to say that.

Mods, I'm not planning on too much just yet. Maybe a couple aesthetic mods, such as the silver rotor accents on the front and rear bumpers, just some things like that, but not too much.

And thank you, I was surprised at how wonderful it looked after they cleaned and detailed it before I bought it.

And I'm glad mine has the tint, haha. It's not too much, but I like it. And I used to really want a Winning Blue, but VR has really grown on me, and this one just so happened to be that.

Haha, I think it works better this way. I have to try too hard, the Rx8 just does it naturally.

And thank you guys.

I've been giving those plenty of read throughs.

It's not the first rotary I've owned, but the first Rx8. I did have an FC about a year ago, but when I moved back in with my parents, it was a choice between it and my Mx6. And being more attached to the Mx6, plus it ran(I was in the middle of rebuilding the FC's engine, and I lost my job, and wasn't able to keep on with it).

But, look what came in the mail today!

And my old FC...

Yeah, I bought it as a project, haha.

Ah, I plan on getting another Rx7, or Spec Miata for racing though, in a few months, or before next season.

Nice, glad you make it back to a rotary. You picked the fastest color RX-8 too.

Haha, yeah, that's why I said just yet. For now, I'm content with keeping it stock. I will say, I'm not a fan of appearance mods beyond factory option ones, they just look the cleanest in my opinion. But I know how the mod bug is, it's stock till one day, all of a sudden, you just go all out and get a ton of things. So yeah, stock for now, haha.

Though, I am debating the Revi intake.. I like how it still looks stock. I love sleepers, personally.

And I'm glad to be back to having one myself. But I'm really wishing I still had my FC as well. Ugh, they're addicting, haha.

And I can tell it's the fastest color. Cops sure seem to think so as well, I think I catch more of their eyes than anyone else's.

But thanks once again guys.
