My italian rx8
Great looking car. You're very lucky to be one in a million to own something like that in Italy.
I'm in Washington State and our gas just went down a few pennies to $2.15 a US gallon for regular unleaded. Other places in the US have gotten as high as $3.00 per gallon.

Hi everybody, this is my new rx8!!!
Good luck with your new car....
I got 2 weeks ago identical one, european edition uf corse.
hehe, my previous car was VW too
Here are some nice pictures:
Hey Dodo - welcome and congrats on your 8. I love the pic in the tunnel, but having driven through them, I hope a passenger was taking the photo and not you.
Pier - I'm really asking about how people seem to react to the design of the car itself - not so much Mazda's marketing position.
Congrats to both you guys on owning a car that is quite uncommon in your region. That says a lot about your level of enthusiasm. It shows you dudes are hard core.
I believe fuel here in California is the highest in the continental US. A recent drop in prices has premium unleaded at about $2.40 per gallon here in San Diego. I was vacationing on the island of Kauai in our 50th state, Hawaii last month, and was paying $2.91 per gallon there. Still only about half what you guys pay, I know, but a shock to us none the less.
I was surprised at the many diesel passenger cars in Italy. Rented an Alfa 156 on my last trip and was shocked to discover it was a diesel.
Since the 8 is so unknown in Italy, did it have to be special ordered, or do dealers have them? What was the purchase experience like?

The reaction of the people it's like when you see a new thing:curiosity!
Sometimes when I stop the car into a gas station, a lot of people, come and look the car and always says that is an amazing car!!
But someone says:huh, it's a japanese car, it's not like a german car....(someone don't trust in japanese cars, here)
For the interiors, ok, it's a pure japanese style, but for the exterior style it's very particular
for me it's special:D
I didn't do any special order for my rx8, it was ready at the saloon,I wait only a week to own the car
!!

thank you mate!

Wow, gas is much cheaper in the midwest, approx $2 for premium.
My husband is Italian, his grandparents moved here from Italy - they only passed on a little of the language. I wish I could say something back to you, but I only remember the cuss words. Your English is perfect though!
