My daily drive...
So, when I got my new Droid R2D2, it came with a wonderful windshield mount.
I noticed that if I inverted it, I could take great driving video!
Unfortunantly, Youtube seems rather annoyed with my radio being on during the filming (good grief) so I think they disabled the audio, but its a fun drive.
And before anyone jumps down my throat, I had spotters for this, so the passing, while not proper, was done knowing there was ample time and room for it.
Ahh, they restored the audio. (Yes, I know... it sounds like crap. I had the radio too loud, but this was my first vid taken with the phone. The odd video lag was created by the youtube encoding. I decided to leave it in since I thought it actually "added something"

How are the new Droids? I have the original Droid and its....sloppy I guess you could say. It doesn't crash often enough to be a problem, but it is annoying. And it loses 3G quite a lot for no reason. The Droid X, Incredible, and 2 look cool but I was wondering if they worked out the bugs on the Android platform. I like the iPhone but I've heard too many horror stories about AT&T though.
Cool video btw. The Droid has some really nice hardware. A little polish in their software and it would be a fantastic phone.

Well, as someone who worked for a cell company, all I can say is I am VERY pleased with the R2D2. I've been a blackberry addict for years, and now using the droid v2, I am terribly dissapointed with myself for waiting so long to get one.
This phone really is pretty ideal. Desktop dock, but no stupid force installed software, the camera is amazing (although I am slightly annoyed that it doesn't recognize or auto-rotate between portrait and landscape, but that is a very small problem, and there are new camera software packages, I just have not bothered to install one yet)
The battery life is insane! I passed out for three days with the flu last month, and left the phone in full power mode. Wifi on, media share on, bluetooth on, even left the damned aGPS on. It was just starting to get into the red when I finally got out of bed.
The physical keyboard is a little stiff... but the touch keyboard is more than adequate for anything short of typing replies like this!
I also can't believe I used to tolerate a nearly 8 minute boot time on my blackberry. This thing takes less than 30 seconds to boot, even with a 16GB card that is packed to the last bit with multimedia.
So, basically yeah. I love it, and I really cant think of a bad thing to say about it.

Cool cool. I picked up a Droid 2 the other day and it felt kinda cheap. Not as heavy or as solid as the first Droid. And yeah the keyboard was a little stiff. I've never not had a physical keyboard so I'm a little iffy on the X and Incredible.
