Dude it's different, so I like it. Everyone has the same exhaust, and you took the time to do something different. I would like to here a sound clip. And you know what i dont understand is when people make comment and dont look at their car. Their some funky rx8's on the fourms and they always seem to be the ones saying something negitive.

I'm gonna be posting the vid as soon as i get a hold of a camera. tomorrow it'll get done. my camera is jacked up right now and not working well. i like it and really dont think it has a "Rice" style. it's just a single exit exhaust and i wanted something different then what everyone else has.

A for effort is a given, you don't need people to state that. Its your car. Will people all agree of course not.

Well as for me Im one of those people that do alot of research and looking around before i actually buy something. It has to have the look I want and the "benefit" of having it. Racing Beat even states that aftermarket catbacks are only good for about 3.5 hp which for $600-$1k+ is a waste, all you pay for is sound, looks, and a Fix it ticket. Not only that but u attract more attention to yourself, than we already do having metallic or modded RX8's A race pipe on the other hand for about $200 is reasonable as they can give 12Hp gains. I dont have one yet, but will soon. So i spent $80 and got the same look everyone else has on this forum, and soon to be installed race pipe, about 12hp gain for less than $300 total. And yea, stainless steel, Enjoy.

Its because the singles are lighter, and your car isn't a V or H aka parallel exhausted engine so having duel tips is less efficient and many would consider "rice". Dual tips is for looks and does nothing but add restriction.

You might as well put dual tips on all civics, focus, colts, etc etc. Same useless principal.. Its fine to have your own opinion on which you think looks better but try not to sound so ignorant when doing so.

If you like it... you're still going to have restrictive flow with the stock pipes

i also made a single sided exhaust for my 8 but only because i had some extra piping laying around and then we modified my friends old muffler from his previous car.
it sounds nice and throaty but as many have said it does melt the shroud. i dont use it everyday i just use it for track events.

here are some links form another time i posted it on here, and a link on homemadeturbo.com where i posted it also. ill try to get a sound clip but its very hard to get a good one since its pretty loud.
