I love the 09 man............ sick ride by the way? I just couldnt wait the one more month,...... so I got stuck with the 08... haha! Any black rx8 is sick anyway. Are you gonna do anything to it soon?

not much luck at all. Anyone know any sites with 09 stuff? Im browsing wheels, Im leaving the suspension alone, Im not sure what brand springs are in it but the shocks are Bilsteins (stock), and it handles amazing. Aftermarket exhaust, in my opinion, sounds like a honda/weedwacker, so Im going to pass on that. Intake, I havent read into them to see if theyre even worth doing on the RX8s. So at this point Im open for suggestions. Im tinting the windows Sept 19th, and going to be using the DecalFX.com smokes headlight and tail light lens film to black the car out. (I might use their yellow lens film on the foglights though). Any ideas what else I can do? Not interested in motor work, the car is brand new and Im not messing with powertain warranties

Yeah man to be honest with you im the same way right now ...... theres no need to mess with the motor just let it be....... i mean get out all the samll things first like tinting..... thats what I did. Then I put on the Mazdaspeed exhaust system which I like a lot...... I mean the tips out of the back are fatter and look sweet.... plus it sounds a lot deeper....... its got an awesome sound. Plus I put on the mazdaspeed cold air intake..... with both of those things which is completely legit it gives about a 20 horsepower upgtade. Ill have to get some pics up of my black 8 08.......... hopefully in a couple days my gf took my camera tonight after i dropped her off....... ha

i'm hoping to put out anywhere between 600 and 700 whp on 93octane. i'm not sure what to expect but can't wait til its done so i can run evo's, sti's, muscles cars and even my own mazda brothers.

Id love to see how the exhaust looks (and sounds). Where did you order the exhaust from? I will see if I can find any clips of it on youtube in the meantime. Id love to get exhaust if it actually sounded deep.... but the ones Ive seen on youtube sound like a bunch of bumble bees pissed off trapped inside of a can

That interiors nice, I like the red. Is that stock on the older ones or custom? Looks good!

The rims are DC-5 Tenzo R rims. I'll hold my breath on the horsepower since i haven't driven my car since march18. Everything as far as interior is stock.

Yeah bro, im kinda **** about who does work on my car just because its brand new, i only have a few thousands miles. So everything that I have done was through mazda, the dealer. I had them install the mazdaspeed exhaust and the mazdaspeed cold air intake! which i would suggest, I mean of course other exhausts might sound great as well , but im just kinda stickin to mazda parts . They had all the parts there and so they did it for me.

Nice R3, have you been able to find any accessories for it yet? I've been looking for the genuine Mazda car cover (it's pictured right on the last page of the 2009 RX-8 brochure in the accessories section) as well as Mazdaspeed accessories compatible with the 2009 model, but haven't found much for my R3 yet...

Hey bro i found some rx8s on you tube with the mazdaspeed exhaust and they have the sound everything. Im working on getting my videoas so you can hear how it sounds it sounds great, Just look up rx8 mazdaspeed exhaust.

I cant find the frigging exhaust for the 2009 though... So Im trying to find out if the earlier models will fit (like if they make em for 08's).

Well my car is an 08, and the factory put it on for me so im sure it will fit yours as well. There is not a change performance from 08 to 09. Mazda garauntees everything they put on so thats why i usually go that route. By the way when you get up to 7000 rpm reving with the mazdaspeed exhaust it does sound high thats just because our cars go so high with rpm and sound that way anyway. the videos dont give the best sound but when its warm and its just idling and you give a quick rev to four or five it sounds way deep....... thats my opinion

The window sticker claims 16/22 and I can tell you in my case thats simply false. I have filled my tank 3 times so far since I bought it and I cant reach 250 miles before the gas light comes on. The best Ive done was 242 miles on a full tank until the light comes on.
The fuel capacity is 16.9 gallons making my best run 14.3 mpg. Once of the worst cars out there for mileage. HUMMER STATUS

I should also point out I drive the car like an old lady since its still in the break in period. So when I drive it like I WANT TO drive it, I will probably be averaging 11mpg

i thougt that they where going to fix this problem i know that wankels always burn fuel but i think that they can do better then 13mpg have you checked the oil this one is supose to burn less oil then previous model because of new oil pump or
