they look similar but mine are the ASA JH8... the center is a bit different and mine doesn't have the yellow print that says "kazeras"

hey flyboy i was wondering. how is hte sound of that rp midpipe? is it loud at idle and at wot? or calm at idle and LOUD at wot? i was thinkin about getting one but im not sure if i should if its too loud. i live in cali and dont wanna get pulled over for it.

 

it really depends on what catback u have with it... with the b&b catback, it was loud at idle, louder when u gas it, and ridiculously loud at wot.

i got the greddy catback right now and it sounds really nice. sounds nice at idle, not too loud until u hit about 6k

the midpipe will make ur car sound somewhat raspy from 3200 rpm until about 4800 rpm. it's not too bad in my opinion.

if by chance, ur anywhere near nj, i can always meet up with u. haha

I am considering so called 'riceing' my black 8 with the red underglow, i purchased it yesterday, but i am having a problem with the dash.. can anyone help me? is there anyway i can mount the switch or how to get thro the firewall. i was wondering if i can actually remove one of the buttons on the button pad where the light dimmer is.. ?? is that possible!? i just couldn't find a way to remove it, to drill a whole in it.

well i respect ur opinion but i had reasons for going with what i got.

are my front bumbers the best looking? of course not, but i got the urethane bumper and i needed something to fill in the grill and i think it looks good.

why 18's and not 20 chromes like urs? cuz as much as i like appearance of the car, i do love performance as well. 20's would affect it too much and the chromes... too heavy imo.

i got black with mach lips cuz my car is black, and i had strakes to compliment the mach lips. i personally like it. i dont think your car looks that "great" and not because of what you said about mine, but obviously we have different goals and tastes

oh, i got rid of the wind deflector lol

and chris, when am i gonna get to see ur car?? i got a lot done since the last we met. i got the interceptor, flywheel, and pulley. drives nice

my car is at the dealership getting a new tranny, and after that, immediately to dyno tune!! i'll keep my word as i promised

I hope you feel that performance enhancement on the road. Between 20inch and 18inch wheels - I know that the 8 was engineered to fit and match best with the standard size of 18s and 20s DO kill the acceleration.

But, are you going to really notice it? Honestly? Apart from numerically and stastically testing it? I dont think so buddy.

Obviously i dont track my car and i have concentrated on the 'classy' look factor more then 'going 1/1000000th of a second quicker' factor.

Sure performance is a big factor. But then again we dont own ferraries and lambos. We own a modest 'unique' japanese sports car.

This is why i chose black. Since its about being modest, classy and not a 'wanna-be'. If i wanted to be the fastest i would have chosen red. I mean red is the fastest colour!

That is what i meant by being a 'black 8 owner'. Nothing else.
The front bumper has no function AT ALL (and dont start arguing here about wind tunnel testings and other BS).
The wind deflector has good function such as keeping the cabin quiet. Hence i didnt comment on it at all.

Im a reasonable person and obviously im not some 12year old 'wanna-be' trying to fit in.

The fact that you took off the deflector tells me you think about what other people think. Hence my opinion about the front bumper being ugly.
Since it IS ugly.
And ur wheels too. TOO UGLY. Almost embarrassed and disappointed to see someone doing that to an rx8.

 

black with black rims and polished lips are the ****. his rims aren't that great, but they work. front bumper grille looks funny, but the ms front makes the car look 'classy.' people like being unique so why must they leave the front stock? a lot of us don't like the look of the deflector sticking up at the top of the car either.

and you need to lower with those 20s...oh yea and get new rims. your car looks like a monster truck.
