My 1988 Mazda RX-7 T2

Hey guys. About last year i thought i was going to be purchasing an RX8, but financing and whatnot became a problem and i was left without the sportscar of my dreams =/ Instead i bought a 1988 Mazda RX7 T2 down in mass. 2800 dollars, racing beat catless dual exhaust, 109k miles, the motor ran great up until i blew it before the winter season, getting a rebuild this spring. Hope you enjoy it!

Looks good.

I have a friend with a 1990 Vert that has a T2 swap that getting a fully built and ported motor with FD rotors, monster ports, a huge T60-1 turbo, and Haltech EMS. Good for over 460-rwhp, it will be a sick machine. Always loved the FC's

Thankyou! The car will be getting an extensive list of mods in the future, but the car will always keep the same stock look, no body kit, no color change, only thing i plan to do is polish the rims, stock everything inside and out. Of course except for the engine bay :P

What are you plans for the motor when you do rebuild it? It wouldn't hurt to do S5 moldings and bumpers too , you already got the tails .

Moldings, i think i have the s5 moldings, not sure. But i'll be pushing 230whp by summer. End of summer, who knows! I dont want a quarter mile monster, i want to build it from the ground up, suspension, tires, reliability mods. I plan to drive this car as much as i can

I had the same car and sold it in 2000. It was a blast! Since I've had 2 VWs, 1 Audi, and 1 WRX. Before that I had a 1982 and 1984 GSL-SE RX-7.

But I just picked up my red 2007 RX-8 on Saturday. Back to the wankel.

This is the only shot i have of the interior, i never really got around to taking one. But it's pretty immaculate. Everything is clean, the seats are aged, a very smell rip but they still look good. It's missing some vents and plastic pieces but nothing big.

Nope, S4 moldings and bumpers. The door and fender moldings are missing though. Are you on rx7club?

Ya. My name is the same here as on rx7club. I lurk around the NH Rotorheads thread a bit. Don't really post much, just a reader

I bet that won't take too much work. RB claims 59hp for their catless exhaust /downpipe combo.

mmm so much potential. Def. keeps us posted, You can make that thing 400+ hp easy.

I'd love me one of those for a project car if i can find one in that shape, miles and price!
