There are four plastic fastners that fit into the side skirt. You have to drill four holes along the side of the car (under the door sill) and also four more fasteners under the car that go through clips that are preattached to the skirt. Two bolts in the back and one screw in the front.

I can send you pictures or a copy of the pamphlet guide I got with the skirts if you want. lmk.

Edit:

Oh, mine are authentic btw.

would appreciate the fitting instructions - might help . I was just going to use screws either end and some adhesive filler along the sides ....

was it scary drilling that 1/2'' hole in the side of car! i know i was pretty hesitant on doing it, lol. only negative side is if anything were to happen and they had to come off, we would have holes that would probably unrepairable, without costing good amounts of money.

Brettus:
U may want to try using a good 3m tape and run it along the lip of the car and fasten with bolts from the bottom. and from the front and rear tire well.

Chad:

Looks good! did you get the whole kit?

I was hesitant on drilling the holes at first, but I realized they wouldn't show when the skirts were installed. I bought the front and the sides for now. I was thinking about doing the ings +1 rear mudguards, but now I'm leaning towards a full authentic mazdaspeed setup (ie sway bars, shocks/springs, intake, exhaust, etc). I think it'd be pretty cool to be one of the few to have fully loaded Mazdaspeed RX-8's :D.

Oh Brettus, you're going to need to put the 3m tape on but you really do need to drill the 4 holes in the side of the car to have the plastic fasteners hold the skirt on from the side (or just mold it to your car). Pm me with an email I can send it to?

I agree with the both of you. The front bumper was damaged in shipping so I had to refuse the bumper and I'm getting that taken care of right now. Hopefully I'll get it within a month or so.
