Just my version of the "hug" commercial. Was getting some pretty funny looks from the spectators.

I'm sooooo glad I don't share you life priorities ..... no offense.

Does that mean that your house wouldn't be comfortable if mazda hadn't offered to buy your car back? Aren't mazda great guys!!!

Yeah Mazda are great guys. Gave me an easy way to feel better about my purchase. Notice I said "me". I purposely avoided getting into the reasons I accepted the buy-back due to responses like this. Besides it has been addressed in many other threads. BTW who said anything about "comfort"?

I will say that if investing in something that will give me a return on that investment (monetarily amongst others) than I guess I'm glad you don't share my life's priorites either.... no offense.

I had no intentions of stirring up any crap or even opening myself up to ridicule, just wanted to share some parting shots of my car before saying "later". So I will only respond to constructive comments if any for now on.

Good luck to the rest of you that continue to own this great car.

I am confused here. Would you have sold the car to carry out you renovations if mazda hadn't offered the buy back? You did buy the car in the first place.

Mazda offered the buy back to customers who were so truly upset with the pstated horse power reduction that they could get their money back and buy something else or have some extra bonus.

They didn't offer the buy back in case people spent their money on the wrong thing and should have spent it on something other than a car.

This is a genuine interest. I want to know if you were upset with the RX8 or if you made a financial blunder. You're just TJRX8 here, no harm in saying.

Kev.

Sorry to hear that you're returning your car, TJRX8. Everyone has their priorities and sweet deals like Mazda has offered don't come around very often (ummm...except at Mazda!).

Anyway, once you get those floors installed, pick up a diecast RX-8 model (see this thread) and take it for a spin on your floors. Better yet, get a remote control model!

Ah heck, sell the house with the hardwood floors and get yourself a whole fleet of RX-8s!
