L@@K I found Blackenedwings Shinka in SuperStreet
How many meets have you been to where the most aggressive modification was a MS body kit, some Axis rims, and an intake? From the import tuning perspective the car hasn't really been exploited to its potential, and I don't think that is the fault of the car necessarily. Mazda made a car that is full of potential, but underpowered from the factory. To earn some respect from an industry dominated by sick Evos, STis, twin-turbo 350zs etc an RX-8 owner has to do something more than install a short shifter and call it a day.
I get a lot of inspiration from people like Brettus, chickenwafer, MazdaManiac, Rotr8, chris from Esmeril etc who are always pushing their cars further. Every time I think I'm "done" they make another step forward and I come up with more ideas about what I want to do with my car. It's one of the awesome things about the community. Hopefully we can start getting a little bit more credit now that multiple pro teams are running RX-8s in various motorsports, and more people are starting to experiment with forced induction.
I see what you mean there Aaron. There is very small number of people who actually boost their 8's and experiment with their car.
I'm all for boosting my car and unlocking its full potential. But there are a couple things that are blocking me from doing that. First money is a main issue and knowledge of FI and all problems etc..
I plan on boosting my 8 someday, but who knows by the time I actually get the money in order there might be another rotary 2-seater out on the market, then I'll just switch to that
My plan currently right now is to acheive maximum power I can when N/A. Then if I'm hungry for more (hence the reason I'm a little hesitant to ride in yours or Gregs car
). I will start to plan out the FI route and by then some of the needed upgraded mods would already be completed and make the transformation a little easier.

Now that my overboosting issue is sorted out, anybody that wants a ride to check it out is more than welcome. I'm still waiting on Jeff for an update to lean out the car above 300 g/sec but I'll start pushing the boost back up when I get it.
As for (hopefully early) next year, I'm working the details of a fully built/ported motor, BHR clutch/flywheel, and starting on the interior. My target power level is going to be about 400 whp.

Hehe, I remember when your target horsepower was 350. And when it was 325 before that. And when it was 300 before that
You'll get it with everything coming though, I have no doubt.
Gratz again dude, you deserve it.

Make sure to check out my build thread in the coming days guys, I just pulled the trigger and bought a new Renesis motor.
