looks nice but be careful, that white is a stain magnet for sure unless you have some type of matt clear over it or something. I've known and seen guys with matt black and even purple and one bad day under a tree and that paint job is toast. I hope you did under the hood and all the jambs etc. too, drives me nuts seeing cars at car shows with color changes but then the engine bay is the old color Love the vertex for sure though, one of my fave kits out there next to the Mazdaspeed

umm... i dunno what anyone else's experience here is but any proper matte paint has a clear coat finish. it simply has a flattening agent to it. you still have to wax, clean, etc the paint just like you always would. that is unless you prefer fading, oxidation, and looking like ****.

clearcoat-free matte finishes = fail

it has been cleared with a flattening agent, the car was fully jammed only thing that wasnt done was engine bay because its pointless to pull the motor with out replacing it with something better, when its time for the swap then the motor will be pulled and it will get the bay shaved rewired and sprayed.

clearcoat free matte finishes=primer
or
clearcoat free matte finishes=vinyl wrap

I've seen hundreds of matte paint jobs with no clear, they're basically driving around in tinted primer, and it gets screwed up really easily as there's nothing to stop the elements from eating away at the paint or leaving blemishes etc. I've seen "proper" finishes at car shows that were damaged too, but that could have happened due to the paint job being done incorrectly or the owner not taking care of his ride etc. Either way, just throwing it out there, I've had different experience with the paint itself as well, none of the painters I know add anything to the matte colors other than maybe some accelerator to help it dry a little quicker so I'm not sure what you mean by flattening agent.

not feeling the paint scheme, I just never understood matte white.
the kit looks nice but the gaps on the front bumper look like they could have used a little more work near the clear corners (common with the Vertex kits I've seen in person)

Now stop messin' around and give us some real pics. (no more crappy iPhone pics!)

canary the color is an actual mazda color called sure white. and instead of using a gloss clear coat they add a flattening agent which basically dulls the clear

I'm down for Hooters, although I think the one we all went to is actually farther from where I live. I'll make it up that way eventually... or at least I'll stop in at a meet you're all going to.

I rented a couple of different lenses to try out for DGRR. I'll be sure to find you guys and get some good pics of the car for you.

I am a sucker for the Matte white with dark wheels and crome lips. Love the kit and stance also. Great tastge there darling.
Only thing I can think off is the exhaust tip--think i rather have a solid lip across the bottom of that rear bumper and have turn down with exhaust tips under the car?
Also the heat coming out eventually will cause that piece to have problems?

One great thing about this color is how everything else will have a high contras. Add just a point of red somewhere for example and it will just "pop" out.
Beatiful car

I saw this car for the first time at DGRR...simply awesome! My favorite RX8. The matte white just pops with everything else and the vertex kit just set it apart further from everyone else.

Great job!
