To each his own It cheapens the car in my opinion. Reminds me of those GTO covers you used to see on all the American rice car back in the late 80's.

I prefer the red myself. The vinyl, when done right, does look amazing!

Red only works on white, but it looks okay.

Looks decent. I actually think it looks better completely smoked out, but I do like the different look of leaving the tail light red.

I tried the light smoke tint on my tails. Here are my thoughts:

1. The cutout was the exact fitment of the light. That was nice. Fitting them was a total pain. That was not nice. At all.

2. The light smoke made the tail look old...as if the lenses faded over time.

3. The stock appearance of the tails are classy and sophisticated. Why hide them?

I'd go dark smoke or no smoke at all.

I was going to go red, put the film on, the red just clashed! fail. So the taillight idea was a compromise. I am really happy with the results though.

More so early 90's. Also on many imports as well.

Only reason I will not tint my tails is for safety. I'd much rather have people see my turn signals than risk an accident or such. That's just me though. I also love the the style elements inside the tails including the LED strakes that match the headlights.

tinting is indeed really hard, took mine to a professional guy and even him took 45 mins and did a not so perfect job, but i can tell he did try his best. but o well... i like the way it looks on mine now :D

i think they complement my 5% back tint pretty well :P without the window tint, i don't think i'll be able to pull this dark smoke tint on the taillights off

but again, to each his own :D

Thanks. I like how it turned out. And yes there are some hot 8's in Jersey from what I've seen. I wouldn't go as far as to say the hottest though.
