just got it back from the body shop

Picked her up a few houra ago well worth the time ( 4 weeks!) The rx8's should have came from factory with the mazdaspeed app. loving the look paint came out almost perfect. For some reasons it looks like the front bumper is completly a diff color fromt he rest of the car only in these pics ( rubber bumper?)

I don't think the paint is bad at all. It's very very subtle. I think it's more of a psychological thing for you. Looks good man.

in person you cnat even tell the diffrence. I have no idea why the paint is so off in the picture, temp. rubber bumper, the gwb in the back was casting a shade? Will get better pics soon. N on the price it was a insurance claim ended up tapping someone n got the bumper and clear corners paid for by insurance.

rx927 sometimes even the stock bumper looks like it's different color due to the angle.. i'm not saying that the color match is 100 percent but i'm sure it's close enough

dude wtf.. I paint cars for a living and I hope you did'nt pay to much for that ****... that color match is way off and they did'nt even blend to the fenders and hood...that painter is a moron.. I'd have him respray that ugly thing..

Tit grays always look that way in pix. It's the material that the paint is applied to. In person, I bet it looks allot better.

yeaup fiirst thing the body shop painter said this color wa a bitch but it seems to be a temprature problem. the only thing i can think of is that the bumper is rubber at colder temps (whicve ive noticed) it looks like a diff color in pics. Oh well

body shops say all colors are hard to match except black,.... My body shop guy told me my white / yellow and red are the 3 hardest colors.... My kit didnt match at all when i got the car back.... they seen and they re-did it... after 2 tries they nailed it perfeclty.. Take it back to your shop, if they are decent they will re-spray it again.

Its as simple as not blending the paint into the hood and the fenders and re-clearing everything. Thats probaly an effort to save time and money.. anyways man I'd hate to see you get screwed.. You see by blending the metallic it tricks the eye into seeing one color.. thats one way of saying it without getting to technical.. Man I wish you lived somewhere around St. Louis I could of saved you a ton and done it correctly the first time. Thats the problem with taking it to random body shops that do not specailize in this field. Look on your estimate and make sure you were'nt charged for something they did'nt do... I hate shady shops!!
