To the comments about the wing. I feel that a car with a body kit and no wing usually looks unbalanced and like something is missing. With the wing it balances out the vehicle. I love the APR Carbon Gt wing on our RX8. If the 8 was stock with just the APR wing on it, I am sure it would look out of place.

Price of the hood? You will need to contact your local dealer to find out. Seibon is one of the sponsors we are working with on this project.

Couldn't agree more. Your car looks much better with the spoiler than none at all, especially with the carbon fiber hood. I suppose I just like the lip spoiler design, or something closer to the stock one (even though it doesn't really have much function). There have been several pictures of peoples' cars with something like the MS spoiler or bigger, and no kit, and they all lack what yours has...balance. And the monochromatic sponsor tags are a tasteful touch.

I wasn't trying to bash your car man, I am just not a spoiler person, wanted to see what it looked like without and thought I would share. Either way, your car is one of the nicer I have seen!!

FYI, neither do any of them on a 150 MPH top speed rx8.

I beg to differ. I almost bought a Crossfire, which has a retractable spoiler that is pretty tiny compared to most, and it provided 15-20 lbs. of downforce at highway speeds. That's not a lot, but it helps. For the majority of us, a spoiler is for decoration, but the one on his car is definitely functional, and at "real" speeds.

But yeah, I agree. That is one of the nicer kitted cars I've seen.

No offense was taken BlueEyes. I just wanted to state my reasoning for adding a spoiler. It is purely aesthetic since it is first and foremost our show vehicle and if it functions on the road, then great. Everyone has their own tastes and that is what is great about modding your car because everyone has their own style. Some people like crazy things and some people like subtle clean looks. I tend to go with the clean but aggressive look. I will throw graphics on at large events because of sponsor contracts but on this vehicle I believe it looks best without full graphics.

Once again, I appreciate everyones comments.

I agree with the spoiler justification. If you are putting a nicely dressed show car, it would look incomplete without a complimentary wing. People bash the wing that it doesn't have function at all, yet they're looking at the "euro" wings and other wing options out there. Same thing!
