While those people in Japan are on here with there shiny new cars... I have a couple of questions too!... nice easy ones I hope!

1, Does the manual state the maximum allowable exposure to RF fields... (This is often at the back, and refers to the use of a transmitter inside the vehicle or antenna mounted on the vehicle).

2, If anyone has the navigation (Although it may be a different system to the UK or US one)... I would like to know if there is even the remotest chance of getting an external input into the system, hopefully NMEA or Garmin protocol on a serial port... The reason for this is that I have some equipment which uses radio links to plot the locations of other vehicles in a group... I've used this previously with Garmin mapping GPS systems... but it would be SERIOUSLY cool to have this working on the built in navigation systems...

Eastmoon, help me. Didn't you post pics of the interior, including one of the back seats?

They look like tow hooks that you would find on race cars.

The hook thing in the lower grill area is one of the two front transport tie down hooks. Not always removed by the dealer, not difficult to remove at home.

Sorry, I've been looking and looking ... and the only pic I could see just shows a tiny part of the colth seat - Was there something better?

Because I'd also like to see more of what the cloth seats look like? Black with Grey inserts or Grey with Black inserts or Black with a Black rib insert or Grey with a Grey rib insert?

Thread with Interior (cloth) pics

Eastmoon posted good pics of his black cloth interior in the thread titled "EAST MOON i need your feedback" under the "RX-8 Discussion" room. That thread is on page 3 of said room thread listing. JSG posted good pics of his red/black leather interior under the Photo Gallery under "my baby"! Thanks to both of them!

Thumbs up East Moon, thanks for posting more seat picks!

... Thanks again, from those of us who want cloth seats!

:D

But, I have a question - Mazda calls their seats Black Cloth - but it looks to me like they appear different shades of grey.

Is that because of your camera flash's light or does your seats look very much like your pics?

Performance Parts

East Moon, are there any performance shops you visit often?

If you do, do they have parts for the RX-8 yet? Or do they have a time/date when products will be available?

DOMO ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!

BTW, when ever I see your doggie, I think of Coyboy Bebop...

Yes, we saw one of the first J-spec preview cars in the UK with cloth seats, and they were definately grey. But when I downloaded the pictures from the digital camera they looked deep purple!

Cheers

EAST MOON: happy for you man. i really appreciate the RX8 pictures you've been posting for us. i have to wait until the end of november.

Haven't "standard" RX8s been very close in performance to the "hi-power"? You should be happy either way.
