LMAO! I used Babel fish translation to Japanese thanking him for everything he is doing. I also threw in that part about Lensman's mysteriously smelly keyboard.

sorry, camera was vibrates by RE rev.

Hmmm... is that the auto? The redline appears to be 7200 or so... If it's the manual, does that mean that it has the moving redline like BMW as the engine warms up?

Please do not use the "short form" for the word Japanese. Thank you.

Does anyone know if this puts Mazda on schedule? I'd hate to have mine delayed by a month, that would puch it past the summer, and I wouldn't get to enjoy it properly.

Horn sound?

I'm sure it's not coincidence both are yellow. The first batch (not sue how many that might be) were probably a yellow run. I'm sure red and grey's aren't far behind!
East Moon - what does the horn sound like? I saw someone park their Protege5 at work yesterday, and I hope it's not the modest little meep-meep similar to the Miata and many others.

I didn't have a chance to try it.
When I returns to my home country, I will try it on the mountain-load.
(I don't use the horn almost in the city of Tokyo and the city area.)

thanks

When you choose a Japanese license plate, you must take notice of the next three points.

Can you see a small Japanese-character at the upper-left of a license plate (Please see a sample).
This shows the location of the District Land Transport Bureau by which the car was registered in Japan.
(Land Transport Bureau / —¤‰^‹Ç@Riku-wun-kyoku)
sample is ’·–ì Nagano (My plate is —û”n Nerima)
Please look for Óì Shonan, if you need to call it "COOL".

Next is a small number at the upper-right of a license plate.
This is the classification number of the car.
RX-8 is #300 (or #33 and #3 is OK) For example RoadStar is #5 #55
The number which begins from #3, #5, or #7 is a "private car."
If you choose a #9 or #99 #9xx, Your RX-8 is Bulldozer! and #8 or #8x is ...WOW!

last is a small Japanese-character on the left of a license plate.
This is Hiragana ‚ ,‚¢,‚¤, is same as A, B, C
Please choose your favorite Japanese-character.
BUT! If you choose "‚í" Wha , your RX-8 is Rental car.

and Yellow license plate is a Kei-car(660cc).
and license plate with the red slash line is a "temporary" license plate.

thanks all

East Moon, Thanks for the pics and all your posts. The dials look really stunning, can't wait!!

ONE QUESTION

We were wondering on the European Forum whether the car has an on-board computer??? (trip, economy, temp etc)

Cheers

Don, I wondered if you had cancelled yet. There is still hope for you after all.

I still think you will take delivery of the RX-8, and sell your G35.

Keep the faith !!

Upper left of a picture is the digital display of the center console, immediately after ignition-on.

Right pictures is the Side-mirror control and the Power window switch. It is illuminated here by red (soft) illumination.
