Why do people do that? The "Me First" psychology is in the works, I think.

that would be a pursueable charge for most of us (assaulting a minor) the one I find works better i(not as easy to get caught) is waiting out side after you've noticed a door ding next to the car that did it when they get back, pulling your gun, putting it to their head walking them to the door ding, making them apologize, and then give up their cash.... essentially a well deserved mugging...

I got hit and run on my passenger door by someone at a local hotel not too long ago so this really hits home.

About a week later, I saw a dumbass woman at my university's parking garage slam into a car while backing her truck. I could see that she was contemplating ditching, so when she started to drive away i cut her off, got out of my car and told her that if she didn't get out of her car and go back to write out all her insurance info, i would call the police for hit and run. I guess i was a little more aggressive than i thought because she was balling by the time i had finished with her. I was blocking the parking garage for a good 5 minutes and not one person waiting honked. I left my info too and got a really big thank you from the owner. Everyone wants to see justice for **** like this.

Some Berk in a Van with a Hose pipe attached to it decided it wanted to squeeze into the spot then wash bins with his hose .. so my car is covered in black water spots.. I was pure raging

I thought I was the only one that paranoid/clever enough to do such a thing lol.

I was working at Subaru last year and was outside talking to a couple of the mechanics and one of their friends who stopped by for a visit. Someone had parked their RSX on the side of the street...

Big truck comes down the road hauling some type of trailer (perhaps a wood-chipper or something on the back?) Anyways, he ****** SMOKES the car, slows down almost to a stop down the road... Then pulls off as if nothing happened... (The mechanics friend I mentioned earlier has an STi with quite a few mods lol) He jumps into his STi and pulls out onto the road to chase the truck driver down... As he hits 2nd gear you just hear something being blown to pieces (ended up running over the mirror of the RSX that was now in the middle of the road lol)

The truck driver took the first turn he could find on each road, trying to lose the guy in the STi until he came to a dead end... He asked him why the hell he tried to get away, the driver said "I didn't know I hit anything..." lol... He told the driver he better come back and the driver said he was going to... He got his plate number and the company name off the truck with licence plates and stuff since he knew the driver wouldn't show... The police came and got a few statements since 5 of us seen it happen...

Turns out the RSX owner, was inside our dealership looking to buy a new Forester as him and the wife had a little one on the way...

People are dicks...

Anger is absolutely right. I just finished putting on my new side mirror and vent from the hit and run. It has been about four months since the hit, and five months since I've had the car. Yea it sucks to have to pay for your mistakes, but come on people, don't hit my car and run off like a school girl! We need more PSA's about hit and runs in California!
