Did you call the police? That is clearly gonna be over 1k worth of repair damage. Just make sure you file a accident report ASAP. Last thing ya need is that old lady or her family trying to sue you. Glad your ok and I hope she gets fixed properly

I zoom therefore I am.
You do not sit in the roadway waiting for the cops, that's about the dumbest thing you can do. Chances are someone is just going to come along and hit you while you wait. THIS IS WHY YOU CARRY A DISPOSABLE CAMERA at all times. You get out, check to make sure the other person is ok.. then snap all the pictures you can in 10 to 15 seconds.. then you move your car (if it's safe to do so) off the road.
Don't have or want a disposable camera? I bet your cell phone has a camera, if it doesnt then you're 10 year old phone needs to be replaced.

It never ceases to amaze me how people get into a non injury accident and all of a sudden forget how to drive.
I was with some friends one night and a guy ran a stop sign and t-boned us. He wasn't going that fast, neither were we. We got out, saw the damage, got back in and pulled over to the side of the road. He started screaming at us that we were trying to "stage an accident". I kept trying to explain to him that we didn't have to stage something that had just happened.
He screamed and screamed at us that the police were going to arrest us for moving the car. My friend (who's car had just been hit) was starting to lose his cool so I called the cops and reported that I was feeling threatened by a man who had just hit our car. This was after the first call were the police asked if there were any injuries and when we said no they told us to call our insurance.
Withing a minute a black and white rolled up just as this man was in full "nut bag" mode. The cops explain to him that he needs to move his car... he starts screaming "I know my rights". He kept screaming that even after they had him handcuffed and sitting in the back of their cruiser.
Moral to the story.. get your car off the damn road.

If I'm not mistaken, if two cars make contact, it's always the fault of the merger, unless the merger already is within the lane.
The damage on your car and her's, only the headlamp (left headlamp, right?), clearly show that she was at fault if the above is true.
For it to have been your fault, the damage to her car should been her rear end.
The situation will be reversed if she says you were the one merging. How her headlamp is damaged is very important to your case. So try to get a photo of that if you can.
