i think its good that your making it your car..especially if you love the color

i've got a white 8...painted the calipers red

 

it's very cool
but you'll have a hard time selling your car in the future

 

Can't help but think of that pink S2000 in the second fast and furious movie.

It's good that you like it though, and standing up for your decision. I'd be worried about the type of paint you have, if it's high-temp. If you decide to re-do it, I suggest sanding it down. A dremel tool works wonders. Changing the pink hub to silver or black would accent it nicely. Just a thought.

 

Dominion - Yes, I have a winning blue! Probably have to look around to see if anyone else has done this before I tried it. It might end up being a bit too much. It would probably look good if done correctly, though!


BigOLundh - Lol. You are just hell-bent on getting me to change my mind, aren't you. Part of the problem may just be the large number of cheap, ugly black wheels I've seen around here on Cavaliers, Scions, Hondas, and whatever else... You'd have to see some pictures to fully understand.

Actually.....if you had ***** you would not be painting anything pink. It's your lack of ***** that makes this color choice acceptable

i disagree...i can easily paint them back to black or silver...plus--if isaw a car w/pink brakes *being a girl and all* i'd be all over that!!!

i think it looks good, but I would have left the center hubs silver or done them black or something....

also I see you didnt take the caliper off to paint it....anyway, I think it looks good. I love when people go outside the typical and make a car their own.

 

IMO this car in black hides all the lines, there is a local black rx8 with the MS kit and all the lines of the car just blur together with the dark color, esp in low light conditions.

AWWW!!!! Now i understand. You are correct, the K-Mart black rims that some people put on their cars (a few 8 owners on here as well, won't name names) are hideous. I AGREE!! My point was, there are actually several REALLY GOOD looking black rims that are very high quality. I guess it really just depends on the individual wheel.
