how did you get that clear bra. You can't even see it in the close ups. Also would that protect the front from rocks and such. I have a black 8 and i.m afraid to drive in construction zones.

I had been asking around about it because I had to have the front of my Miata repainted due to the "sandblasted" look from all the chips. As it turns out, the dealer who did my tinting carried the product and installed it. Turned out extremely well, I think.

The kit is available in 4 "sets" - one for the front bumper, one for the hood, mirrors, and front fenders, one for the headlights and foglights, and one for the door edges. I got them all except for the door edges, and it was $600 installed. It cost $1500 to have the front of the Miata repainted.

The company is X-Pel (http://www.xpel.com), and they already make the pattern for the RX-8. Company was X-Treme Tinting and Alarms (FM 1960 area) for those in the Houston area .

Tint cost?

How much was the tint job? The more I tinted 8's I see here, the more I'm convinced mine needs it.

OK guys. I have a guy who tints my windows, and has since 1983. He was doing single piece tinting back when everyone else was doing the "lines" in the rear defrosters. He is amazing, and is the ONLY person who will touch my cars! By the way, he also installed the ClearBra.

For the tint, I paid for the most expensive, lifetime warranty tint that he had (he has a good selection). He gave me a pretty fair discount and it was still $200 - but it is also perfect!

Jon, you will see it at the A&M autocross, if you can wait that long.

Panda, it was at:

X-Treme Window Tinting
9109 FM1960
Suite B
Houston, TX 77065
(281) 890-9152

"Bubba" is the owner, ask for him and tell him who sent you. He'll take care of you. It's just west of Willowbrook Mall (1960 and 249) about a mile.

Hope this helps.
