Here's what rotary exhaust ports look like inside while running

This is a creative (if a bit ghetto!) way to play around with an RX-7 engine out of a car. Just bolt it to a stand and bring the ecu and instrument cluster with you. This is an 86-88 nonturbo 13B. This must be insanely loud with no exhaust. You really get to see what the exhaust pipes get to see though.

That is freaking amazing.
That is the kind of brain-damaged ingenuity that I respect.

Sounds like a 5-ton chainsaw.

Isn't it sad that a 13b on a motor stand idles better than a stock RX-8?

It's almost a continuous exhaust flow, like on a jet engine. Amazing.
