not sure if this has been answered yet but what offsets are you running and width of your rims?

the black bar on the oem ms is removable. No need to get the jdm one also the jdm version only comes with one oil cooler duct vs. usdm's two oil cooler ducts. Not that it makes a big deal but it be kinda weird having one with a duct and the other w/o.

one of the cleanest white 8's regardless...

Could someone please tell me if the MS front bumper uses a screen mesh in the front/sides to allow more air through? I believe that it does and I faintly remember a close up picture of this, but I just want to make sure that this is the case.

If anyone knows of any close up pictures of the front bumper, please post them.

Thankx!

(the first two days of owning the car it sat on the lift at my house while we installed all parts). The mazdaspeed kit is actually JDM from Japan....I bought it through JapanParts.com.....#1 because I hate the black plastic bar on the U.S. version.....and #2 because Japan has the Snowflake white pearl one whereas the U.S. dealers list their's as whitewater pearl. They may be the same exact paint code, or they may not......I just wanted to rest easier. Anyway, I hope to join the ranks of such greats as Konig and Whitehot to make this forum of SUPER helpful people a more diverse place (there aren't many white MS 8's around here). I was kinda thinking that all I needed now was window tint......so I went today to have that done. 15% on all but the front, which is 5%. I'll have better pictures soon, those first ones are pretty bad.

Oh and to those of you who wanted to know offsets...... well I'm ashamed to say that I can't remember the offsets right now, it's been over a year since I bought them....but I'm looking into it!!!

Well two people with the OEM MS kit told me that the black mesh didn't go all the way to the top of the middle air intake so that's where I got my info. Maybe they didn't actually look and were just telling me that, who knows. Anyway, when I tried to install the JDM front....it wouldn't mount completely because of the styrofoam in the way, so that's what I figured the black bar on the OEM version was for......to cover up that styrofoam. Oh and you're right, the JDM version DOES have only one oil cooler duct, but when you install the MS foglight brackets you have to cut out the functional part of the ducts so they're not even necessary......the fog light brackets direct the air for you.

Thanks for all the positive comments!!!! It makes me feel good to see all these compliments from the same people who have replied to other peoples' posts telling them how they screwed their car up with an x-men wing or a hideous body kit. Thanks fellas! Glad to be part of the "club".

amazing, mine is a JDM Type S snow flake but we call them Pearl White, I am now thinking between the MazdaSpeed kit or the Autobahn one, i mean you cant say which one is better.....but you car rocks dude...by the way is the ms spoiler blocking your view too much ? I love it but some ppl complain abt it...what do you say whitey?

I don't think the MS wing blocks the view out the back window all that much, but I've got it set flat rather than angled. To me the small rear-door windows and those huge C-pillars are what block the view. These cars have some serious blind spots, but those forward shaped C-pillars are also what make the car look so good. Oh and I think the autobahn kit looks just as good as the MS kit, I just didn't want the headache of painting and fitment issues. Best of luck with whatever you decide on and be sure to post pictures!
