Here 'tis! My Mazdaspeed Snowflake!

Well here it is...... my LONG awaited (since I left for Iraq in 04) 2006 Snowflake White Pearl RX-8....fully loaded. I've actually had the body kit, tires, and wheels sitting at my house for about 8 months before the car was even built....and I couldn't ask for a better paint match. (the first two days of owning the car it sat on the lift at my house while we installed all parts). The mazdaspeed kit is actually JDM from Japan....I bought it through JapanParts.com.....#1 because I hate the black plastic bar on the U.S. version.....and #2 because Japan has the Snowflake white pearl one whereas the U.S. dealers list their's as whitewater pearl. They may be the same exact paint code, or they may not......I just wanted to rest easier. Anyway, I hope to join the ranks of such greats as Konig and Whitehot to make this forum of SUPER helpful people a more diverse place (there aren't many white MS 8's around here). Any and all comments welcome! I'm glad to be an RX-8 owner!

Thank you. I shopped around and saw the black one.......then the white one......and since I've owned both a black and a white car at one point.....I knew the white would definitely be more low maintenance. Black definitely stands out when it's clean.....but that usually only lasts about a day. Anyway, I was goin for a sporty, yet classy look.....without steppin too much into the "ricer/tuner" realm. I think I've done a good job at that and the body kit and wheels go well together as a whole.

Absolutely beautiful. Do you happen to know if the black bar for the US version of the MS front bumper is removeable ? After seeing your barless ms bumper makes me want do de-bar mine as well.

From what I understand, the black bar is on the US version to cover up the white styrofoam underneath. Since that styrofoam is only about 3 inches thick and approx. 3 feet long, I removed it. I have been told by others with the US kit that if that black bar is removed, the wire mesh behind it will not reach the top of that hole (the main air intake). Whether this is true or not I do not know, I have never seen a US version in person.....but I am VERY happy with the JDM one. Had it not been for the MS foglight brackets (a BITCH to install) I would've had the front swapped out in about 30 minutes max. Perfect fit.

WOW, very nice man. Makes me like that Snowflake White/Whitewater Pearl so much more... AND really makes me want to add the MS bumper to the sideskirts I recently installed on mine.

Great job!

My time in Iraq was served proudly.....there's no need to thank me. I'm just glad that I made it back to hit the roads with you boys (and a few girls) here in the club. I live about 30 minutes from Deal's Gap (The Dragon) and I think I'm gonna try out the 8's handling through there this weekend. I'll probably take my g/f along with me...... she actually lives about 5 minutes from there but has NEVER been through it!!!! Can you believe that??? Girls just don't understand

Nice color choice. I was seeking out blue or black but when I saw the Whitewater Pearl in person it was striking and I had to have it. It looks even better with clear corners.

I've got to order the Mazdaspeed front for mine...

Yep.......Mods with the maxis lip. I had to shave the calipers a bit to get them to fit but it was less than an 1/8th inch......now you can barely get two sheets of paper between the wheel and the caliper......it looks great and with 1000 miles on it, the wheel hasn't moved a 64th of an inch. You can't beat the look of the different offset though.....and since the wheels are the same width I can still rotate my tires front to rear.

Looks SWEET! There is reason to thank you though. (Check out my signature.) I also have the JDM Kit (in Velocity Red) w/ Ray's Gram Lights. I do like to rotate my tires, but love the look of staggered setups. Peace!!

Whitey, first off...THANK YOU! Thank you for courageously putting your life on the line for all of us here, at home (and the citizens of Iraq). Glad to hear that you are back home, safe and sound.

Secondly...NICE *** 8!! One of the tightest I've seen. Enjoy...and welcome home.
