Hey Pilot, keep up the good work. You have to expect the negative comments on a public forum, its life. BUT, I understand the look you are going for. I am a reader of Modified Mag, Super Street, and I am one of the few on here who actually enjoyed the Fast And Furious movies.

It appears to me that functionality isnt what you are looking for, and that your more interested in a show car then a "go" car. And that is FINE with me. There are plenty of show cars that look great, they don't all need to be performers.

Keep up the good work and post pics as you go.

What's the top speed of the auto 8? 120 mph? at that speed that wing if actually functional might generate 70-100lbs of downforce. Since you don't drive 120 mph on the streets, im going to have to go with it's not functional on a road car.

But, that said, I am glad you are happy with it and I enjoy looking at different ideas people have. Good to see some creativity.

#1 Question ... How old are you to put that piece of **** spoiler on your car... No offese but that **** make your car look HORRIBLE!!!!!.. Please take that **** off... If your going to buy a spoiler Pay more and buy a good one ... Mazda factory or MS spoiler... I hate it when people pay 30,000 for a nice car and put **** on it ... Here is some good advise... If you ever plan on spending alot on a car pay the extra $$ to take care of it... or don't buy it @ all... Paying an extra 300 / 400 for factory spoiler is not much after paying 30Gs for the car...And personally I don't care much for what they publish is modified magazine... 1/2 of it is all crap anyways.. And just curious how much did u spend for the spoiler

Dude, I have an issue too. It kinda pisses me off when people do stuff like this to their car. In a way, it reflects on all of us RX8 owners. I'm sorry, but when I see a car like that I think "DORK!!" (though, not as much as the rediculously riced out Civic that I see running around town) It is then only a natural tendency to associate all RX8s with dorks. People don't look at a car with that much imbalance and say "Oooooh man that is one sweet ride!" They point and laugh. They don't see that he's got plans to do more mods in the future that will certainly help. They see a $30000 turd. Save up your money and do it right....all at the same time. The only function these mods serve right now is to illicit groans from other RX8 owners who are embarassed, not only by him, but for him.

I am with most of the people on here when they say that you need a kit to balance the car out. The wing doesn't look right on a stock RX-8. I can totally see where you are going with the vehicle because all of us have to start out somewhere but I would have recommended to go with a kit first and wing last. It is obvious that your gonna get tons of hater comments because you are showing off your car when it isn't complete. Here is a photo of my 8 with the same wing but lowered, kitted, and rollin on 19s. I am pretty sure most will agree that it doesn't look bad once it is finished. But there are always going to be the people that hate something. Good luck on the build up!

Sigh, I have to keep telling myself to each his own. None of my business but I still have to say those big wings including the one on the red above look ridiculous. People complain about getting revved on by other cars. Dress them up like this and still get whipped by alot of rides on the road and you look even more ridiculous. A great looking car with great lines obliterated by things kids put on Civics.

Things kids put on Civics, hmm I guess that's true although I've seen wings on some "just slightly" more costly vehicles as well and they're still are almost passable in the looks department :D Anyway pilot, thank god we still live in America where we can do what ever the hell we want to, as long as we aren't hurting anybody else. I know my son is putting his life on the line every day over in Iraq so that you can still have this freedom. So I think I'll just throw in my two cents and say don't be put off by all the people tryin to put you down and do whatever makes you happy. Good luck with the mods!
