Heavy *** Chrome wheels don't just make your car slower,,,,It will make the car handle worst and your braking will suffer......to each his/her own but at least you did a cost/benefit analysis.....

Ahh, nice chop, but you forget.. The larger rims will add height to the car as well as fill in the fenderwell gaps. So, that photochop is actually illustrative of a new set of chrome 18's.

well you would want something like that if you had big rims like 20's or so, so its a good thing.
I’m messing with my rx-8 now, except I’m doing more then just rims to it I’m doing
rims
clear corners
tint
extending the front air damn down
eye lids
emblem removal
shaved door handles
lowered
painted calipers
removing the front plate because I don't have it on any more but in the picture its still on
.....
I'll do more to it if i think of something else to do to it.

My rims are similar, if it helps. These are 7 spoke, your rims are 5.

I think your choice of rims would look great on your 8. I did get the dealer to paint the rotor hubs silver and it looks much better, at least for a while.

I'm giving up on washing out the greentones that I get by shifting it - i think this will give you the general idea though...

EDIT: On second thought, I decided to see what it would look like on the color I want...

I tried the yellow pic too but didn't like the green tones so I didn't post it....loks like you rushed on the gray pic with you masking tool.
