To get them from a race just save the replay and go to "replay theater"

Just got it last night, and have only done a couple of races, and taken a few photos. But it is really nice, much better than GT3, and NFSU.

OK, I'm going to have to do the photo thing when I get home. It's paused in the middle of the second race of the Japan GT Championship. Goin to have to save a couple of replays in front of "the pack". :D

I'm at 6.1% now, have only got to play it a few hours monday and tuesday.

I really like this shot, but I'm one of those rear-end fetish types.

NICE, I didn't know about that trick. My memory card is low on space, so I haven't been saving the replays. Gotta go get a new mem card now.

yeah, I was playing with the replay photo mode today. it's actually really flexible. great photos, I'll have to get them uploaded. I may have to print and scan, or bite the bulet and get a jump drive.

In the replay mode, is there a way to slow the playback down? I found out how to fast forward, but I want it to slow down, looking for a good flaming exhaust pic. In GT3 I thought it was possible to change the playback speed.

Do they still have a Formula 1 car in this one? I'm only at 11.7% still playing around with manufacturer's championships, almost have the beginner and pro races complete. Guess my next buy will be a WRX for the boxter champ...

yeah, most of it is actually in the replay theatre. there's only a small blurd in the manual.

This page has some of the common controls available, some will be slightly different between photo travel and replay picture mode

http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/f...oto_travel.txt

You've probably already noticed, but in the replay picture mode you can't move the camera left right, but you can select which camera is taking the pic. On one track I had a choice of 67 cameras around thet car to take the pic from. In the travel mode, you only have one camera and have to position it where you want it.

It's actually kind of cool how they have this set up, it's like you're controlling a real 35mm camera.

Something I found, at the beginning of a race on the screen where you can start, practice, change settings, etc..., you have a preview of the track playing in the BG, if you press L3 it pauses, press it again and it rerstarts. weird. Pressing L3 during a replay will speed it up.

This guide has a decent break down of what all the championships are worth. Pretty sure it has a full course/license/car listing as well. It's still in progress tho. Something interesting I found in the guide, apperently there are special black cars for certain race models:

The Black Race Cars: *cue scary music*

Between days 694 and 700 there are 4 black Race Cars that can be found used.

Used Car Showroom II:

Toyota GT-One Race Car '99 = 2,924,999

Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98 = 2,924,999

Used Car Showroom I:

Mazda 787B Race Car = 1,224,999

Nissan R92CP Race Car = 1,224,999

These cars can be found at the bottom of their respective showrooms. Since they are used, they will naturally have less horsepower than their new versions. But . . . . . . they're BLACK!!!!!
Remember the oil changes.

Yeah, I already came across the black cars a while back, but opted not to buy one. I'd much rather have my 787B painted in its Lemans winning green & orange paint scheme.

Any USB drive, whether a ZIP, or just a flash drive, it will plug into the USB port under the memory card, and in the photo lab, you can transfer files to the drive. Quick and easy! :D

Hey guys I just got the S-Video cord for my playstation II. I am going to get a jump drive and post some of my pics. The S-Video cable makes a good bit of difference in the sharpness of everything. I wish I had a component TV so i could use the component cord. Are you guys taking these pics using the regular AV cords?

I am, but I am getting ready to run it all through a digital cable, the manual says that it will make the surround sound much better, sound from satelite speakers of the cars behind you. I don't think it matters for the pictures on the flash drive, since the images only leave the playstation when you put them on the flash drive. The a/v cords never come into play.

rice= the offensive enhancement of a vehicle beyond reasonable standards to the general public. Mostly a visual termonology that describes car ignorant money wasters.

Now, that is the official(can be revised upon legitimate entry) definition of rice for the people of the world that may have taken offense. A totally non-racist term for everyone to enjoy!

The king has spoken.

Just got hold of a USB drive and started playing with the Photo mode. Here are two of my favorite cars in the game right now. Hope I can get the other one in real life during my lifetime.
