Picked up the Jpn import GT4 about a week ago, been too busy driving the "virtual" wheels off my RX-8 to fuss with the "photo mode" that's in the game. Finally got a little tired of driving, so stopped to snap some "virtual pics".

When more folks have GT4, maybe we can start a GT4 RX-8 photo contest.

 

how did you upload the pics from ps2 to pc??

 

probably snapped it in front of his tv screen... or i mean plasma screen :p

 

either that or used USB, or a video capture card

The game will recognize a USB memory drive, and allows you to save and print your photos via USB.

 

Nice shots. Better than most of the real ones I've seen posted on the board. Too bad you can't put it in a virtual driveway in front of a virtual garage and take a picture there. HAHAHAHAHAHA!

quick question, is there any difference in the older ps2, and the new slick slim one that's out now? I saw where it mentioned something about it being "more capable" or something. Like they were hinting it may have some extra firepower etc. (even if it is just a tiny bit more)

 

i heard the new ps2 slim is usb 2.0 while the old one is 1.1

 

i like the rx-8 in nfsu2

 

OMFG! That thing is hideous! That's extremely overboard, even for ricers.

I have NFSU2 on xbox, but can not upload my pics. I like how in underground you dont have to rice ur car.

theres nothing you can do, if you want to beat the game and advance to higher races you have to keep adding parts to your car to get it to 10 stars I hate that they force you to advance like that ....... I tried leaving the body pretty stock and only upgrading the performance parts but you can only go so far in the game........btw this is the pc version

 

Iwannarex8 is right, you have to add to advance and the uglier you make it the more points you get and suppose to be better handling too. So if you play nfsu2 and want the best handling RX8 you have to make it real ugly.

 

I do have to say the hood on the nfsu2 RX-8 looks good. I can't wait until GT4 hits America. I've had the game on reserve for the past year.

 

It only helps in your handling because it allows you to get enough points to do the final level of suspension upgrades. I got 10 stars on a very plain looking car. The key for me was putting black cinyl on the black car. You cant see them, and you get all the points.

 

the only good thing about NFSU2 were some of the mods but most of them were so stupid looking it was not even funny and the game play was the worst thing ever the pos 86 was the fastes car in the game it could even beat the R34 on wangan race trded the game in for credit for GT4 already.

OK, here you go, more pics. I'm starting to really like this "photo mode". Camera buffs will go crazy, there's all kinds of stuff you can do (adjust lighting, lens effects, shutter speed, aperture etc. etc.)

Good to hear about the lighting/shutter stuff, too. I could definitely use some training on how to manage all that.
