Well it's interesting to see that the new 8 and the rx7 do have one thing in common,,,, THEY CAN'T TAKE A HIT!

well, it depends how fast he was going as to whether or not they can take a hit. Also it could just be properly designed and functioning crunch zones

Nope, couldn't be - aside from having a license plate, the impact isn't consistent with any of the crash tests, and there's none of the reference lines (yellow/black targets and lines to precisely determine deformations from video, photos, and measurements) that are always placed on crash test cars.

Regards,
Gordon

Wouldn't be a crash test car because it's crashed on the wrong side. It would have been crashed on the right front since it is a right hand drive car. No?

Maybe East Moon can translate the check sheet.

( from the check sheet )

--Since owner has cut the key, mileage is not known.
--It is said that engine and missions are OK.

(The person who wrote this, and the person who checked the car seem to be those different.)

Unnnn.

This thread is linked from the Mazda web members(Mazda official site in Japan).

It seems a part of one Japanese character is missing due to the picture quality.
"Okyaku-san ga kagi wo kizute izute shimazu ta"
-> the owner cut the key
"Okyaku-san ga kagi wo mozute izute shimztu ta"
-> the owner brougth the key back home.

The comment are trying to say that he or she could not see the trip meter (the trip meter is digital and needs to turn the switch on)

Question What about?

Maybe EAST MOON can tell us what the building in the background says. Does that give us any clues as to where the car is 'dumped'? Maybe it says 'Mazda RX-8 stunt driving car burial grounds' or something ridiculous like that?
