had one hell of a day today!.....not only was it my b-day we went to e-town and raced...and wifey woke up early for me and took pics and vids...here are some of my shots....and the video proof that my little beast was on NYCDriftking aka Omars *** the ehole way!.....he pulled a little on the straight aways but couldnt shake me in the turns!...and luckilly none of us crashed but there were 2 spin outs from 8 owners.....kersh im not gonna mention screen names so your safe!......any way here they are

 

 

 

We had a big handful of 8s go to the free track event. Many were there as early as 6am (I heard this from other people who registered late too.. so I guess our 8s were pretty famous/infamous?). Doesn't hurt to be a bit overprepared

It was nice to meet dills, kersh, firstrotary and to see many familiar faces from our club on the track. I didn't stray too far away from my car (because of the creeping waiting line of cars) so I missed a couple 8s like nycqps's. Anyway, here are my pics.

How was the track?

 

track was no joke....the experienced groups had one instructor in front and then the rest of us followed the lines....so we were moving at a decent speed around the track.....good enough for 2 rx8's to spin out and a g35 to hit a wall

out of 5 runs, 2 of them were ripping around each corner. The other 3 where behind FWD cars....FTL.

At the straight away i hit redline in 3rd every time just before slamming on the brakes for the next turn. So much fun!

 

only 5 runs in total? well, I left after my 2nd run so ...

man, I wanna see the pics of the crashed G35 I think I know which one, cuz I think I saw only 1 G35, it was Grey, I think. driver is ok right ?

The track day was great ! my first run had an instructor with me (cuz I was leading pace car) He taught me lots of stuff. like how to cut time, turn in corners, braking, where to accelerate/decelerate. on my 2nd Run I fell to the last place because I was trying to "follow/learn" what the instructor has taught me, Damn that white Mazdaspeed 3 he thought that I cant catch up. blah. maybe next time.

 

I got 6 runs in................ Oh hey i dont know the name of the person who lent me the helmet. But Thank you........! i will be bring it to the tursday night meet....... fyi all my runs were good.

But in "one" run a Rx8 in front of me spun out in the morning. Then in the afternoon another Rx8 spun out behined me. WOW. Either they're trying to hard to get away or trying to hard to keep up lol. j/k. i'm just glad everyone was OOOK.
