Just a question if you dont mind, how is hard disk holding up, Im assuming your PC setup has a hard disk in it. Say you are running MP3 and you hit a bump, wont that scratch your HD? or have you found some shock resistant HD, I think IBM laptops came equipped with one, but I think theirs protect against fall only, and need time to detect the fall.

WOW....a lot of questions....so Let's see how well I can answer each of them...hopefully in order:
Q: hows the heating issue for the computer? wouldnt the computer overheat in the hot summer days when temps inside the car would be up there like crazy?
A: not a problem yet. We've got the typical fans (CPU, PSU) as well as a ventalation fan exchanging air for the Computer box. Besides, it a P4, which has built in thermal protection, if it over heats, it just slows down. Check tomshardware.com for a demo video of what happens when removing a CPU heatsink from a P4....short answer, no harm, just slows down.
Q: I have a work phone through verizon and I have a ton of minutes but I pay 10 dollars more a month and they gove me unlimited internet connection for my laptop.
A: Maybe in the future...
Q: I really hope you have an Optima Battery. Stock batt's SUCK for that kind of load
A: 2 batteries. Primary battery is Optima Yellow Top. Secondary battery is a specialized audio battery. Both batteries are connected to eachother, but all the electronics are run off the second battery.
Q: Some people are just straight nuts.
A: Others are just plain crazy!
Q: Good work, looks sweet!!
A: Thx!
Q: Holy Crap if you guys actually go to his website you'll se how much work really went into this. http://devoid.mine.nu/
A: Agreed, I can't put nearly everything that has been done on RX8Club....so go check out the site.
Q: Your car was scrubed and reclearcoated a bunch of times right?
A: No, it was wet sanded once. Upon completion of the audio work this week or so, it will go back to the body shop to get some touching up, as well as rebuffed.
Q: And whose Exhaust is that?
A: Random Technology High Flow Cat and midpipe, and Corksport exhaust....it sound AMAZING!
Q: Question how did you get your calipers soo smooth i was thinking about using an angle grinder?
A: Bench grinder. The calipers were completely removed, ground smooth on the face, painted, and baked.
Q: Yeah, but 802.11g is downward compatible, so this is a non-issue since it can pick up a connection even in a 802.11.b network. BTW, did you rip out one of your backseats??
A: For 802.11 concerns, see all of previous reasons. Again, keep in mind, ASUS only makes a built in 802.11b.
Backseat - no, the car will look mostly normal to the naked untrained eye (and even some well trained RX8 owners eyes) and will be completely stock functional....ie 4 seats.
Q: Just a question if you dont mind, how is hard disk holding up, Im assuming your PC setup has a hard disk in it.
A: My guess...it will be just fine. I've had a NEO MP3 hard drive in my current vehicle for years without missing a beat. Harddrives can take a lot more than you would think. I'll let you know once I start driving the car.
Q: Hey, what kind of neons are those and where can I purchase them?
A: ICELED, not neon, and far from cheap (just a warning) http://iceled.co.uk to order them, the US distributor is OZNIUM http://www.oznium.com/
I think that got everyone!

^^^ Don't forget, I've added more HP. And more importantly, power was never my goal, integrated systems were. And on that note, this thing still hauls more than enough for me! :D

what's up with all of the g vs b?
g is faster, yes. but c'mon we're talking about a wireless connection INSIDE A CAR. Are you planning on transferring huge files while riding around in his car? He has no internet in his car and besides b is plenty fast for just internet if he had it (fast internet is about 1mbit/s, b is 11mbit/s). It's a little over 1.25 megabytes/sec and about 82 megabytes per minute.
But yeah car looks great. I think you went a little crazy with the underlights. It's really gaudy... but some how I can't help to think it looks awesome. Hehe.
