customized lotek gauge pod...
i bought the lotek gauge pod around 2 months ago and wasnt very interested in the gauge pod sitting on top of the factory center dash piece, so here is what i did! i bonded the two panels together into one and brought it to the shop and got it painted to match the radio panel (piano black). took a little time... but it was worth it! enjoy (i will take some pics of the gauges lit up when i got time)

Looks sweet. Question though.. durring the day is there any glare from the sun? I'd imagine some obviously but is it to much possibly? I was thinking of doing this through my entire center piece but the glare possibility is making me weary.

How do you get that panel off? I'm trying to search for it, but it doesn't help that I don't know the proper name for that panel. What I've found so far makes me think that I have to take the radio out to access the screws needed to take that panel off, is that right? Wouldn't want to do unneccessary extra work.

damn, ah well. You know that hidden anti theft 10mm screw that needs to come out for radio removal? Is that only of anti theft purposes? Does anyone ever not put that back?

Also if you just remove the metal cover form underneath the steering wheel you can locate and unscrew the bolt in <1 minute.
OP that guage pod is by far the best one I have ever seen... GROUP BUY ANYONE?

I never put it back... it took me two hours to find/remove it so i dipped it in diesel and burned the ****** (it's only black now but it felt good inside )

How to?
Could you post some instructions on how you made this bad boy? I have a lotek pod sitting in my garage because I wanted to do this with it, but couldn't really figure how to get it to look like one piece.
