Crashed my R3 - Pics

Wow that really stinks... glad to see you're ok though. After this I'd recommend (if you haven't done so already) doing some track days or autocrosses to get a feel for your car at the limit (whatever car you may end up getting if this one is written off). Not only will it help your driving and reaction time but also your situational awareness - i.e. cold day in BC early morning with no sun = cold tires on cold pavement means way less grip than usual (in addition to them being worn out like you said). Also you'll have loads of fun while doing it!
Anyway, good luck with your future car plans and drive safely!
(Also let us know if you do buy back the car and part it out, I may be interested in some of the pieces lol)

It really happened the worst but finally you are safe that most important thing. Such accidents may happen mostly but the speed must be more than as mentioned by you. BTW be more cautious from next drive.

Talked to the body shop today, their estimate came in at over $17K.
Icbc (insurance company here in BC) said they were willing to spend up to 17k on repairing the car. But they needed some lee way incase certain parts were wrong and cost more or other expenses etc.
Apparently, there's a line or hose for either the headlight washers? Or just the windshield washers, that goes in the bumper, that's on back order and isn't available in north america. lol.
So pretty sure it's a write off, just waiting for the official call from icbc. Don't know if I'll be able to get the car back or not. Gonna have to go back and forth with them on a settlement too.

Thanks a lot everyone.
I'm not sure what I'm gonna do yet if the car is written off.
Clear out my loan for the car, then I might pick up a FD.. but I might drive my civic for a bit and fix some of the things on it to try and get it to sell, then go from there.
I have been messaging a couple guys with FD's tho. I've wanted one for sooo long.

I'm glad your alive and breathing, sometimes it's best to think about the simple things in life like breathing and still in this world (something to think about)

These things happen, whether you consider yourself a good driver or not.
I think everyone here has gone into corners slightly over the speed limit.
Add some bad luck and you've got yourself a car wreck.
Glad you are okay and I hope things with the insurance turn out well for you.

yeah because more power is the best cure for a totaled car.

So what, buy a slow car? ... More power isn't an issue. And I'm not "curing" anything. I'm replacing my vehicle. I wanted an FD long before I got the R3.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do as of right now. I have 2 vehicles in the driveway right now, so might stick with them and pay off just pay off some school debt, or sell my civic and put the money towards a new toy.

If you wanted tighter lines there are better ways!! What makes a good driver is partly skill, and partly experience, you just got a lesson in weight transfer when sliding defiantly keep a positive throttle. $h*t happens and as long as your good I bet you will never make that mistake again. I purposely bought a GS to not have traction control (and sunroof) and I drive her year round, having worked for a Porsche and Audi dealer I've pretty much driven any car you can imagine and the RX8 is definitely a car to make drivers look good. Hope they fix's her up for you then you can practice that corner again!!
Cheers
