I found this to be pretty cool, the rx8 isn't too far behind from the FD and if built well, I think may even be better. just my opinion. I wonder if this guy is on the forums.

Its hard to tell if the 8 is just better in the corners or if its the driver. It looks like the 7 driver is breaking too early and giving too much gas at the exit. If the 8 had a bit more power in the straights it would probably take the 7.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's hard to tell if that 7 was even close to its limits in the corners, but he shouldn't have needed to brake that much more than the 8. Then there's the question of the modifications on either car. Definitely a good video and the 8 could have easily taken it if there was just a bit more power. I just think this was more of an example of driver skill level than anything.

 

I watched this video year ago.. 8 chassis rigidity is better than 7 isn't it ? Get 8's p-port or largestreetport, 5.125 final gear and other tuning options. Also need weight reduction then 8's absolutely wonderful enjoy machine. This tuning options suitable for all cars but 8 has potential to be fast. Go 8 !
