COOL - Child Car seats for RX-8
#2
hahaha! that's cool! At first i thought it was something you could buy from Mazda since the colors are matching, but then i read you bought those at Walmart. Keep in mind though that both those seats and your car's aren't going to be clean for long... I don't know if this is old, but it's not to me so thanks for posting!

Got this one from Halfords in the UK. Made by recaro, so probably available in the US too. They come in various colours, blue, red, grey.
The best bit is the base of the seat fits perfectly in the bucket.
Leather is a must for all with kids - so much easier to clean up spills etc

Here's a link with more info and color options:

The booster seats are great to help bigger kids see out from the back. I have a blue one for my 9 year old. Got it at Target.
In the back seat of the old RX-7, she used to love sitting up on the hump in the middle (instead of down in the buckets) where she could have a nice view outside.

Here's one that I thought matched the black cloth pretty well and it has a similar shape to the front buckets (if only I could create a rotor in the headrest). Added the mazdaspeed seat belt pads for added effect.

...and to keep your kid's head from flopping side to side when they are sleeping, the best headrest that I know of is called "DreamWings". It straps onto the seatback and the side pillows fold into place when support is needed. Just fold the pillows out when awake.
Here's a picture from the website www.dreamwings.com:
(Website offers 6 colors to choose from.)
What is so amazing about the design is that the headrest stays firmly in place in whatever position you move them into.
At $35, it is hardly the cheapest headrest out there. But of all the designs I've seen they are by far the best. I paid extra and got their headrest with the stereo speakers built in.

When awake, fold the headrest pillows out and they stay there. When sleepy, fold the headrest pillows in and they stay there too.
The headrest never needs to be taken off of the seat.
Amazing design. Works great.
And it's nice having the personal speakers so your passenger can listen to lullabies or whatever while dozing off.

Too cool! Matches the red/black seats perfectly. Almost makes my wish I had kids, will have some in future, but for now I have the starter set (dogs).
Anyway Simpson, makes some cool child seats too.
